North Jersey has quite a few thrift stores, so I decided to share my top 5 I've been to.

My love for thrifting started back in high school and has not stopped in the slightest, although, the way I shop has. When I first started thrifting, I would only shop at Goodwill - not only because of how well known they are, but also due to the fact that I was fearful of other stores overpricing the merchandise. As I began to shop outside my comfort zone, I soon realized I was quite wrong. (Also, the thrift stores listed below are in no specific order and are each unique in their own way!)
1. Woodstock Vibes Thrift Store - Franklin, New Jersey
One day as my boyfriend and I drove to Stokes State Forest to go hiking, we stumbled upon a decent sized thrift store with an adorable Volkswagen bus outside, and I immediately knew we had to go in.

The minute we entered I knew it was going to be a great thrifting experience. The store is extremely clean and organized. When you walk in the right half of the store is the Women's section and the left half is the Men's section. From there each section is further categorized by sections such as vintage, hipster, t-shirts, etc.
The prices were very reasonable, and the range of clothes was amazing! Definitely a place to return to.
The images to the left are some of the clothes I found in their vintage section that I absolutely fell in love with!
2. NoNu Vintage - Dumont, New Jersey
NoNu Vintage always has the most amazing collection for all your vintage needs. From furniture, to clothing, accessories, and jewelry -- they have it all. Also fun fact, the store windows are always decorated so beautifully and are literal vintage dreams!
I ran into this store shortly before they closed, and before I had to be somewhere, so I did not get to look around as in depth as I'd have liked. But what I did see amazed me! The pieces of furniture and home decor are displayed and set up as they would be in a home. The clothes were beautiful and I found at least 5 purses I wanted to purchase. Everything was also very clean and organized! While I was there, I did purchase the cutest vintage turquoise turtle ring, that the owner even polished for me on the spot, as seen below!

3. Udelco - Hawthorne, New Jersey
Udelco is an amazing thrift store that is tucked away in a warehouse style building in Hawthorne, New Jersey. They have boxes upon boxes of all kinds of clothing. From vintage to dresses, to tee shirts, 80s sweaters, you name it and there's most likely a box for it. The prices are incredible and can't be beat. I would definitely recommend checking them out!
4. Twice as Nice Consignment Shop - Dumont, New Jersey

Stumbled upon this thrift shop with my sister, and what we found inside was great! The store looks small from the outside, but once you head in they have a ton of clothes, toys, decorations, and a LOT of jewelry. Loved the finds in this store, and would highly recommend! The prices are very fair as well.
5. Plato's Closet - Lyndhurst/Fairfield, New Jersey
Okay so technically this is a chain store, but I had to include it because often times going to Goodwill or other thrift stores can be hit or miss when looking for newer fashion trends and current brands. Plato's closet never fails to have the latest trends and brands and does not have any vintage clothing whatsoever. As a result, they are the perfect spot to buy clothes from brands such as Free People, Forever 21, H&M, etc.
If you know of any thrift stores I should check out, feel free to send me a message or comment below!
